Have you ever felt that your lifestyle might be getting in the way of a successful TTC journey? Or maybe you’ve wondered about alcohol effects on fertility. Today, I talk about drinking while trying to conceive, and the relationship between alcohol and fertility.

Recently, someone asked me a relevant question about alcohol and fertility. She wanted to know if she needed to cut her alcohol consumption completely and whether drinking a few glasses of alcohol would negatively affect her fertility. So, are there alcohol affects on fertility?

Look at alcohol and fertility this way. A little bit of alcohol is usually okay and won’t do much harm, but there’s undoubtedly a tipping point of toxicity if you’re drinking while trying to conceive. Exceeding the minimum dose of 2 glasses per week for women puts you at risk of rapid aging, thereby affecting your TTC journey.

When it comes to growing a family, the worst thing you can do is age prematurely because of a risky lifestyle. So, I’d say you can have a little alcohol during your TTC journey but drinking while trying to conceive isn’t the best idea.
