With universal themes of family, connection, love, and tragedy, Ashes centers around a family torn apart by a tragedy at their local community theatre. Katherine and daughter Sarah are trapped in a loop, having to live the tragedy over and over again. Husband and father, Ryan, unexpectedly appears to purchase the property to try to put the tragedy behind him. Through the magic of theatre, the family has an opportunity to come together one last time. Will they all rise from the Ashes?

Old Courthouse Theatre in Concord, NC was founded in 1976 and originally performed in the historic Cabarrus County Courthouse in downtown Concord. We are the only non-profit 501(c)(3) community theatre in Cabarrus County and the area's only all volunteer community theatre.

On Feb 1, 2018, OCT experienced a facility fire within the Annex building. While this building was mainly used for storage of costumes and set pieces, it also housed a smaller performance space previously used just for rehearsals. OCT was in the process of launching programming specific for the smaller space when the fire broke out. #RebuildOCT
