This beach on the northern coast of France saw one of the most legendary actions by the armed forces of the United States. It has been a dream of mine to be able to visit this beach and I was finally able to in the autumn of 2021. It was an absolutely surreal experience to be able to wonder across this beach for an entire day. Follow me while I try my best to explain what happened here on June 6th 1944.
