In this video Yu Zaw visits the U Bein Bridge in Mandalay, Myanmar. It is known as the World's oldest and longest teakwood bridge. It spans 1.2 kilometres wide across the Thaungthaman Lake. It was built in 1850 by the Ava Kingdom out of the wood reclaimed from the old royal palace in Inwa.
The bridge is supported by 1086 wooden pillars all made from teakwood.
Alongside the bridge is a sprawling market selling souvenirs and street food. Yu Zaw takes in all the sights and sounds and also tastes the local specialties.
