Synopsis:

Seema, a 36-year-old widow, has lived alone since her husband, an Air Force officer, passed away seven years ago in a plane crash. Despite her loneliness, she maintains a brave and composed exterior, spending her days quietly in her apartment complex.

Enter Shantanu, a 26-year-old charming and sincere young man who moves into the same housing society for his new IT job. He mistakenly rings Seema’s doorbell on his first day, leading to an awkward but warm first interaction. Slowly, casual encounters in the society turn into conversations over tea, shared laughter, and genuine bonding.

Shantanu is drawn to Seema’s grace, maturity, and emotional depth. Seema, initially cautious, starts enjoying his company, though always aware of their age gap and social perceptions. Both begin to feel a strong connection, but hesitate to express their growing emotions.

Eventually, Shantanu confesses his feelings to Seema, saying he doesn’t know if it’s love or something else, but he deeply wants to be with her. Overwhelmed, Seema pulls away. She rejects his advance, not out of lack of emotion, but because of fear—of judgment, of societal backlash, and of hurting their respective families.

After this moment, Seema distances herself from him, ignoring his calls and presence. The emotional tension grows. Shantanu tries to reach her, but she remains silent.

Finally, in a chance face-to-face encounter, Shantanu demands to know why she’s pushing him away. Seema emotionally explains that their relationship will never be accepted — not by society, nor by their families. She asks the audience directly:
"Would you accept such a relationship?"
