🌟 Day 4: Exploring the Wonders of Olden! 🌟

Welcome back, travel lovers! 🌍✨ Join us on the breathtaking fourth day of our P&O Cruises adventure aboard the magnificent P&O Iona. Today, we’re docking in the picturesque town of Olden, Norway – a gateway to some of the most stunning natural landscapes we’ve ever seen!

Our journey begins with a delightful breakfast at The Quays on Deck 8 of the P&O Iona. After fueling up with a hearty meal, we head to Vistas Café Bar on Deck 6 for our daily dose of espresso. ☕️ This little morning ritual is part of what makes cruising so enjoyable – that perfect coffee to start the day right!

At 9:15 AM, we make our way to the Olden Adventure office to catch our excursion to the iconic Briksdal Glacier. Located just a short walk from the port, the office is marked by a white tent – easy to find if you follow the signs. With our mobile booking confirmations in hand, we receive our bus tickets and head towards our red bus for an exciting journey. 🚍

The bus ride is nothing short of spectacular, offering panoramic views of Olden Valley – rugged mountains, serene lakes, and cascading waterfalls accompany us on our 30-minute trip to the Briksdalsbre Mountain Lodge. The scenery here is breathtaking, with the lush greenery and sparkling waters creating a scene straight out of a fairy tale. 🌲🏞️

Once we arrive, we start our 45-minute walk to the glacier. The path is dotted with photogenic spots – waterfalls, rivers, and dramatic vistas perfect for capturing those Instagram-worthy shots. 📸 The Briksdal Glacier, a magnificent ice formation descending from the mountainside, is the highlight of our trek. But, to truly soak in its beauty, we’ll dive deeper into its splendor in Part 2 of our vlog series.

Before we sign off for today, a little teaser: we also explore the delightful Briksdal Inn, where we enjoy coffee and cake after our glacier adventure. 🍰☕️ Stay tuned as we continue to share our incredible journey through Olden, including our plans to visit the “Loen Skylift” and the hidden gem for ship photos.
