The early 60s are often referred to as The Golden Age of Fender, with 1962 in particular routinely called the high watermark of Fender production. It was also the year that Fender first launched the Jaguar, backed by the now iconic “You won’t part with yours either” ad campaign and Fender’s claim that this was their new premium guitar. In the best year Fender ever made guitars, they were saying this was the best guitar they ever made. Can you see what’s got Mike so excited yet?
