The Time Baker Mayfield Faced Off Against Patrick Mahomes

In 2016 Texas Tech transfer quarterback Baker Mayfield returned to his original school. There he would face off against recording breaking quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The two would shatter conference records for all sorts of statistics. Mayfield ended the night going27-36 for 545 and seven touchdowns. Mahomes and the Red Raiders would fall short 66-59 even after going 52-88 for 734 passing yards, 819 total, and five touchdowns.
