Hi all! Our Jane Bug caught the bug and more. She was sent home with a fever. We wasted no time to get her to Urgent Care and five hours later they tested her for COVID, the flu and strep throat. They found her to be positive for the flu. They sent her home with instructions to take tylenol and sleep.

That night she grew worse. Her temperature spiked to 105, she was lethargic and was in too much pain to sleep. The over the counter medicine was not doing its job and I feared she would get worse very fast. We rushed her to the ER on Lackland AFB. When we arrived she could barely walk into the ER and they admitted her right away. The nurses and doctors at Wilford Hall did a fantastic job of giving her the best care right away. They took every test they could think of to ensure they didn’t miss anything. They took xrays of her chest, tested her urine, tested her blood and gave her three bags of fluids and meds. Five hours later her fever was gone and they found that she tested positive for the flu and strep throat.

Thank goodness we took her to the ER at Lackland AFB. We are so grateful for the team there. They took her condition seriously and she was on the up and up since.

It's so scary to see my child in so much pain. What I would give to endure her pain myself.
