Highlights from Austria in June with four friends.

I am by no means happy with what I've created here, but it is what it is. This symbolises a step in the right direction for me, even if it's a bit rough around the edges. In the future I hope to be more disciplined with my time when out shooting so that I can use less 'filler' content in the final cut. This was a four day trip, but I am certain I can make better use of that time window moving forward.

This was a long time coming. Having owned cameras for five years now, I've wanted to make something along these lines forever, but the amount of content required to even make something as short as this makes the barrier for entry high for getting into this part of YouTube. There have been countless trips that I've documented, only to come home and decide the material wasn't good enough or to create something I was less than pleased with. I've waited for an experience to come along which I can film, instead of making photography a priority and planning something for the purpose of creating a video. There have to be sacrifices, and photography has to be a top priority in order to get enough content to make something worthwhile.

I can't say when I'll post again, but I want to keep improving my film-making as I'm not even close to where I want to be. You will see something from me again I'm sure. Travel videos tend to fall into two categories, the first being hyper-edited gen-z transition-heavy videos, and the second being minimalistic honest professional feeling content. I want to aim to be in that second category, but I know this video isn't there yet.
