I should have known better.
Never head to Kielder in midge season.
And especially when it's been as wet and as humid - with almost zero wind forecast.....
But that's what I did - excited to get out on Sami the Cube again for a camp, I'd spotted an interesting looking place on Google Earth and an OS Map that morning, technically speaking in Kielder Forest, but right on the edges.....so off I went....
