#44 - SUCCESS! The Wonky Doorway Dilemma is Finally Solved as We Restore Our Portuguese Stone Home

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together?! This week, all of the head-scratching, ruminating and cups of tea pay of as Michael installs the new lintel for the old wonky doorway. Using modern joists and antique wood, he creates a stunning feature for our Portuguese home. We may still have a long way to go but seeing the vision come together is a pretty wonderful thing!

We're Michael & Becci (the humans) and Tilly (sassy English tortoiseshell cat), Alfie and Anoushka (Portuguese rescue dogs). After four years in Portugal and numerous dreams about renovating our own property, we've taken the plunge and are renovating a schist stone house and its outbuildings in Figueiró dos Vinhos. We're doing most of the work ourselves (or... Michael is!) and we'll be stepping back in time to create a character property with as many original features and antiques as possible.
