A. D'Agostino - Ballata n° 1 op. 16

La Ballata n°1 op. 16 è certamente un’opera più lunga ed articolata di altre del medesimo autore come, ad esempio, i Preludi (alcuni dei quali presenti in “Onde di luna”). Scritta tra il 1995 e il 1996 ai tempi dell’Accademia musicale pescarese è stata più volte eseguita in concerto e/o pubblicamente sempre accolta con successo ed entusiasmo dal pubblico. Anche in questo caso emerge la scelta compositiva controcorrentista, tradizionalista ma con innovativi procedimenti tonali, comunque mai dodecafonici.

The Ballad n ° 1 op. 16 is certainly a longer and more complex work than others by the same author such as, for example, the Preludes (some of which are present in "Moon waves"). Written between 1995 and 1996 at the time of the Pescara Music Academy, it has been in concert several times and / or has always been received with success and enthusiasm by the public. Also in this case the compositional choice against the current emerges, traditionalist but with innovative tonal procedures, nevertheless never dodecaphonic.
