Downscaling Chronicles 5: RetroTINK 5x Pro feat. Analogue Pocket in 240p. The BEST downscaler?

The RetroTink5x pro is a well polished line-multiplier/scaler that has bridged the gap to play retro consoles on a modern display. It also has an ‘experimental’ downscaling feature for 480i and 240p output. It achieves a 240p downscale by crude line deletion, similar to the Dexx OSSC Pro-lite De-10 addon (FPGA board used for the Mister FPGA project). The Dexx and RetroTink 5x both utilise crude line deleting for downscaling to 240p. For games that were drawn in 240p and line doubled/tripled, this method should restore the game back to its original form. With this in mind, the Analogue Pocket to date, is still unable to output 15KHz from the Dock. This, among other scenarios are explored in Episode 5 of The Downscaling Chronicles.
