On September 7, 2024, the faithful of the Shrine of Our Lady of Regla in Miami, Florida, gathered to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Regla with a solemn Western Rite Orthodox procession. The faithful honored the Blessed Virgin under her ancient title Our Lady of Regla, a devotion that began in early Christian Spain around the 5th century at Chipiona near Cádiz, where a hermitage was built in her honor. This title, beloved throughout Spain, Cuba, and Latin America, reflects centuries of love and trust in the Mother of God who shelters her children beneath her holy mantle.

Founded in 1982 by Fr. Miguel Lobo under the Orthodox Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East, the Shrine of Our Lady of Regla stands as a living witness to the unity of East and West within the Orthodox Church. Through the Western Rite, the parish reveals the universality of Orthodoxy, embracing every culture, language, and generation in the one faith of Christ.

The Church is truly for all people, for every nation, tongue, and time. For those who have preserved the faith through centuries of tradition, and for those who seek it anew today.
