New Built Vintage Tamiya Porsche 934 / 1976 / RA1201 / 58001

In late 1976, Tamiya launched its first RC car, the Vaillant owned Porsche 934 Turbo.
This RC kit with the number RA1201 (58001) developed in a very unorthodox way.
Months earlier, in Static Model No. 12020, he had the Porsche 934 RSR in the orange Jägermeister paint scheme.
This model war is shown in great detail and very precisely, a masterful reproduction of the original Porsche, which until then has never been heard in model making.
This was only achieved when Mr. S. Tamiya owned a real, responsible Porsche 911 Not to drive around yourself, to disassemble the smallest screw, to measure all screws and components including the body so that they can be heard in the model.
The injection molding tools have been preserved to this day and are still in use for the new releases.

Initially, even the No. 12020 Static Model longitudinal calves high price of 9,800 YEN (34.00 USD / as of 12/1076) did not do well.
So much time and effort has gone into developing, researching, and producing the model that the development costs will not be amortized any time soon. Something is also changed to account for the loss for making contact. And was it possible to make a 100% detailed Porsche body on a scale of 1:12?

Of course, a radio remote control must be used and the RA 1201 (58001) was born.
Mr. S. Tamiya had one of the staff who was RC car designer Fumito Taki.
The model initially concerns regular dry cell batteries, which were empty after about 8-10 minutes. This means many years that the industry standard has been adopted.

The 934 was a huge success and Tamiya's ambition for RC models on the market, classics classics and pioneers such as the Rough Rider 1979 / the Sand Scorcher / Hilux / Blazing Blazer / Wild Willy / and the first all-wheel drive, the Hotshot. etc ...

The construction of this epoch-making classic is a pleasure, albeit one. The chassis only lasts 45 minutes. But the body six weeks.
The entire construction is so fragile that the mirror will only fall off the first one.
Tightening the side windows when the doors are already glued in quickly creates an insurmountable feeling. Hardly knowing with a screwdriver without explaining the body. It's quick to see the window right-glued without any glue fog belonging to it. I have to follow 5 super glue to find one that was crystal clear and smoke-free that worked. And that didn't exist before.
This Porsche will never see a road, but I can well imagine that at that time the drive alone includes the sight of a curb and the Posche explode in 100 parts.
This sparked my passion for the 58001 that made me addicted.
This Porsche was put together by me and Scorcherkid. This kit is an Emotional Survivor from 1976, sold from an NIB.
