Mojon Rojo: An Argentina Ascent

Описание к видео Mojon Rojo: An Argentina Ascent

Mojon Rojo is an amazing mountain in Los Glaciares National Park. The park is famous for many things including being the location of Fitz Roy. Fitz Roy is the logo of the Patagonia brand! The summit offers views of Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, Torre Egger, and so much more. The sunrise hitting the mountains over Laguna Sucia might have been the prettiest thing I have ever seen! This climb isn’t extremely technical and can be done without ropes… but speaking from experience I would not recommend it. Especially on the final summit tower, a fall would not be survivable if climbing on the exposed side which in my opinion was the easiest way to climb up.

We did this in a single day push but Swiss Bivy is a small overhang that offers a great place to camp if you would rather do the climb in 2 days. Route finding was difficult on this climb and there are guides in El Chaltén that would make this climb so much easier especially in the route finding regard.
