Dudhsagar Waterfall Trek during Monsoon | river crossing in forest, Beautiful experience 😍 South Goa

Facts about Dudhsagar Waterfall
- Location is South Goa, Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park among the Western Ghats.
- India’s 5th tallest waterfall and 9th in Asia.
- Total height of this fall is 310 meters and width is 30 meters.
- Best time to visit this is between October to December.
- The nearest railway station to this is Castle Rock in Karnataka.

I completed this trek in total 24 kms. Trekking distance may vary depending on the point you start trekking from and finishing at.

Some useful Tips:
· Adventure this with a local Guide or Join a trekking Group. - I will suggest you to hire a guide or take along some locals with you for your first few trips, or simply join some trekking group like I did. Otherwise the entry inside the forest is restricted due to heavy rainfall and wild animals. Also you may get lost in jungle alone.

· Schedule your waterfall trip on the last day of your stay in Goa- The distance from Panjim to Dudhsagar waterfall is approx. 76 Kms. and 2 hours of drive. Trekking to Dudhsagar fall can be tiring so I will advise you to schedule your waterfall trip on the last day of your stay in Goa.

· Jeep Safari - If you don’t want to trek and still want to witness this mesmerising Water Fall then you may use Jeep Facilities. You can buy tickets from Kulem Ticket Counter for Dudhsagar Waterfall. It may cost you approx. Rs.600/-per person. They start from the point near Kulem Railway station in a jeep and drop you at the bottom of Falls for 45 mins to spend their and bring you back to the same point. 7-8 people has to be in the jeep. They also provide life Jackets. Jeep service is not yet started, may start soon.
