A few clips of our recent visit from July 2021 at Chanonry Point in the Black Isles, Scottish Highlands. Chanonry Point is around 30 minutes from the centre of Inverness just outside of the village of Fortrose.
We have visited Chanonry Point a few years back but it is a must visit, as you get a different experience each time you visit.

We have found an hour after Low Tide is the best time to visit, you will be able to see the tide line quickly appear and within minutes the Dolphins arrive. The car park does fill up, so be sure to arrive around Low Tide times to ensure a space or you can park in Fortrose and walk down the coastal path.

We were very lucky this time around and had Dolphins breaching metres from us aswell as some views of some Calves!

The first attempt we had some good views but the light was quickly fading as it was gone 8pm. We returned the next morning, and despite the rain, the car park was full and we had the best views yet, the Dolphins caught Salmon a few times and were throwing them into the air and tail slapping with excitement. It was great to see Dolphins in their natural habitat, we could have stayed all day, but had to catch a flight home, so we will be back!!
