I couldn't get MIDI to do the intro to my satisfaction so I played that part (and just that part). Sorry for the scuff.

This video should have been released at 12pm UTC on 2025 February 14th. It's the only time that it's the same date across the world. 2025 is probably the only perfect square year I (and most of us) will be alive to see. sqrt(2025) is 45, and February 14th is the 45th day of the year. It's also Valentine's Day, so I wanted to sing something somewhat related to math and/or love. I knew I was going to do something a bit contrived like this since last year, but only decided on the song this week, so it's not the most polished thing in the world. Given another week or two I would've learned the entire piano part at tempo.

"Kaiju" is the opening for an anime entitled "Orb: On the Movements of the Earth" which is a historical fiction about the development of heliocentrism in a violently theocratical society. Hearing it for the first time in episode 2 (because I skip endings and didn't realize it played at the end of episode 1), I felt this immense sense of adoration for human perseverance, tinged with a small regret -- I've never been a particularly curious or empathetic person so I don't think I was able to fully experience the wonder and curiosity the characters must've felt at that moment. The closest I got to that is probably respect for the scientific method.

I'd highly recommend watching the show, especially if you enjoy math and/or science, though be warned that they do pretty blatantly show medieval persecution tactics.
