We recently hosted 21 students from Colombo, Sri Lanka on a farm owned by Fonterra farmer, Murray Shaw based in Karaka, Auckland. The students were able to get up close and personal with the cows and the milking shed, and learn more about where their favourite Anchor products in Sri Lanka come from. For many of the students, this was not only their first time in New Zealand, but the first time they were able to see how New Zealand farmers looked after their cows and how they were milked (not by hand!) - they also learned how Fonterra farmers were able to produce high-quality milk, and how they were able to enjoy on the other side of the world. This experience was one of a kind, with a view of what makes milk produced in New Zealand so amazing. In Sri Lanka, there is also Newdale and Anchor Butter.
