This is a taxi service app similar to Uber. Grab has affiliations to local taxis in most of the larger cities in South East Asia. With a click of a button, you can order a taxi to take you anywhere within the city limits, and you can do it without having to haggle with sneaky taxi drivers trying to rip you off.

#3 - TripAdvisor
The one app that is known to anyone who has ever been on holiday before! This is a great app that shares thousands of evaluations of pretty much every restaurant and activity anywhere on the planet.

Splitwise is an expense tracking app that is perfect for group trips one person pays for dinner and another for a taxi. Splitwise keeps track of your expenses and automatically calculates how much everyone oews each other, no matter the size of the group!

#5 - Google Translate
This handy little google extension has helped thousands, if not millions, of people overcome language barriers whilst holidaying in a foreign country. The app can easily translate whatever you want to say into almost any language, to help you order at a restaurant or tell the taxi driver where you want to go.
