Hey guys,

Today I am in the kitchen making a traditional Bulgarian favourite.... BANITSA!!! This the national dish made from filo pastry!

Normally Banitsa is eaten at celebrations or special days...or if a family just fancies eating it that day.

I hope you learn something from my tutorial and try to make it yourself..

The Method:
Please watch my video for step by step instructions and lots of cooking tips. The baking temperatures are very important and will be explained in the video.

Ingredients

500g filo pastry (room temperature)
500g raw spinach (or 225g cooked) cold and very dry
5 large eggs
300g feta style / Bulgarian cirene cheese
200g plain yoghurt
1 sleeve (10g) baking powder
40ml vegetable oil
80ml soda water
