The Charging Bullet | an electric overland adventure

As the causes and effects of climate change are at last receiving the attention they deserve, an urgent revolution in transport is imperative – it’s clear that traditional fossil-fuel-guzzling combustion engines have no place in a sustainable, low-carbon future.

In this film, eco-conscious engineer Fred Spaven converts a classic motorcycle - a 1961 Enfield ‘Bullet’ - to run on battery power. Embarking on Britain’s longest overland odyssey, Fred & “The Charging Bullet” travel from Land’s End to John O’Groats, meeting along the way fellow innovators pioneering their own green transportation technologies.

Clean cars using zero-emission fuel, high-performance electric motorsport, bio-fuelled public transit and the birthplace of renewable energy are all visited as Fred explores the future of sustainable travel.
