Prayer to Saint William of Rochester

O holy Saint William of Rochester,
faithful servant of Christ and guardian of the forgotten,
you who lived with kindness, giving daily bread to the poor
and opening your heart to the orphaned and abandoned,
teach us to love with your generous spirit.

You walked the path of pilgrimage with hope and trust,
even when betrayal met you on the road.
In your martyrdom, you bore witness to the mercy of God
and the power of a faithful life.

Intercede for us, dear saint,
that we may have the courage to do good without fear,
to welcome the stranger, and to forgive even in sorrow.
Protect the lost and guide the wayward,
especially children in need of love and care.

Through your prayers, may we grow in compassion,
walk humbly in the steps of Christ,
and one day share in the joy of heaven.

Amen.
