This year marked the 45th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run, and I knew I had to be there — no matter the weather.

In this video, I take on a 3K walk through Stanley Park in pouring rain, using my prosthetic leg and crutches. For some people, 3K isn’t much — but for me, this was one of the longest walks I’ve done in a long time. Wet, cold, muddy, and challenging… but absolutely worth it.

Walking in those conditions really put into perspective what Terry Fox endured during his Marathon of Hope — running day after day through rain, wind, pain, and exhaustion, all for something bigger than himself.

Huge thanks to my 14-year-old daughter Kenzie for capturing so many amazing shots while I focused on putting one step in front of the other, and to my wife Lisa for the constant support. This wasn’t about speed or distance — it was about showing up, honoring Terry’s legacy, and supporting cancer research.

Whether you walk, run, roll, or ride — the Terry Fox Run is for everyone.
