Raj yoga simply means 'Kingly yoga' as in combination for throne, or sitting on a throne. Back in the days around 5 to 7 thousand years ago there was no electable government, congress, Prim Minister, voting, and especially void of 98% of the jobs that are now available. Back then when Maha Rishi Prashara was writing this genius text as part of the Vedas, applied the meaning of Raj Yoga to working under the king or actually becoming the king himself. But due to the class system there were several types of Raj Yoga, the highest being 'Maharaj Yoga'.

Since this is only a very small glimpse into the Raj yoga back then, it has completely changed its meaning in the digital age. If you have Raj yoga it doesn't mean you will become a king, President or Prim Minister of a country. Having a Raj Yoga means you will become a manager at your office, supervisor at your company or high level executive as in Vice-President or distinct manager. If you have a Raj Yoga yet you have been working at a retail store for 10 years, then it could mean two things. 1. You can become the manager of that store or you will go to another job where you will be promoted to a higher post.
