Let's talk about the JET Program: Is it worth it? What are the cons? Can you save money on the JET Program? Can you travel on the JET Program? How is life in Japan?

Although I tried a different way of going about this video, instead of a sit down, please tell me what you think of this format? Is it distracting you from the message?
In this video, I try to answer these questions and let you know on what to expect on the JET programme, although I would heavily suggest that you limit your expectations. It is not all roses and this is no utopia.

Life in Japan has its challenges but it sure is rewarding. A loaded experience of a new culture so far off from my Southern African culture. These are things I wish I knew before I came to Japan, although it probably would not have deterred me, I believe I would have been better prepared.

I ended up at a new local cafe in Fukui called Ex Cafe and Bar, a sister branch of the cafe in Kyoto. This is a mactha cafe with great views, a new favorite of mine and I sat down at the end of the loaded JET Program experience from a South African in Japan talk.
