DNV 9 vs PVS-14 - Test 2 - Dark Room

Here's our first attempt at filming a dark room comparison

The quality unfortunately isn't great.. We aim to improve the setup and film more demonstrations shortly.

This was filmed in a room sealed off with 0 light. We used a single variable power LED facing away from the test wall. This test only covers extreme darkness, far below moonlight.

For reference, in the thread below there is a video filmed along side this test on a Samsung Galaxy S21. It can't see a thing.

The flickering in the image when the IR illuminator is turned on is from the action cameras we're filming on, not the tubes themselves. These cameras also exacerbate the "fisheye" effect.. We'll try improve this also in future tests

We're extremely happy with these results! The Gen 2 DNV-9 is extremely close to matching the sensitivity of a Gen 2 PVS-14!
