Hello everyone,
Yesterday we held the seventh class of the Inner Journey series inside the Graphic Journal Club.
Over the past months we explored themes like presence, balance, inner energy, taking up space, integrating the year, reconnecting with desire, and learning to go with the flow.
This session took a slightly different direction.
Looking at the current historical moment, it felt impossible to ignore what many of us are feeling: fear, anxiety, anger, exhaustion, and sometimes a sense of helplessness when facing the state of the world.
Wars, political violence, corruption, climate collapse, systemic injustice, attacks against migrants, queer people, and vulnerable communities.
The question of this class was not how to avoid these realities.
The question was:
how can we remain present and human in a time like this?
The philosopher and teacher Gurdjieff used the word impressions to describe everything that enters our life.
News.
Images.
Stories.
Scandals.
Wars.
Injustice.
The problem is not the impressions themselves.
The problem begins when we completely identify with them.
When we identify, we lose presence.
We lose energy.
And most importantly, we lose our capacity to act.
This is why this class matters.
If we want to change anything in the world, we first need to remain capable of staying present, connected, and human.
Below you’ll find a recap of the exercises we explored together.

We began, as always, by arriving in the body.
Meditation, breathing, posture, and a short self-portrait exercise helped us settle and reconnect with our physical presence before starting the journaling work.
