The two jazz ensembles—Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Lab Band—are full-sized big bands that perform swing, be-bop and contemporary jazz, providing the opportunity to develop improvisational skills. Small combo jazz groups are also available for NC State student-musicians at a variety of experience levels.
