1985 Ford Escort celebrity race: rally vs rallycross

Action from this unique one-make race, held as a support event for the 1985 European Grand Prix at Brands Hatch. The Motoring News Celebrity Race pitched rally drivers against rallycross drivers, all in identical Ford Escort XR3is. It is posted here as a matter of record and because it features many recognised rally stars of the time, including Pentti Airikkala, Jimmy McRae and Russell Brookes.
