Pros & Cons Off Grid vs Caravan Parks With Pets | Caravanning & Camping Travels with Dog & Cat

A few months ago we started on our journey travelling with our dog and cat around Australia, and being fairly new to the caravanning scene, we thought we'd share some initial experiences to help fellow newbies make this choice.

Now the big question when caravanning around Australia - do I stay in a caravan park or do I go off-grid? Maybe both?

Truth be told, before we started our lap around Australia, we had a theoretical equation in mind to help save costs and keep us sane - we call it the 5-2 choice...

5 days off-grid, to facilitate our deep connection to nature, to have privacy, to disconnect from technology, to feel 'total freedom'
2 days in a pet-friendly caravan park, to fill up our water, do some washing, more deeper cleaning

All good in theory, but as we've found, life on the road caravanning with pets does not always neatly fit into our human-ly equations!
