NATO States Seek Protection Against UAVs With “Drone Wall” On Borders With Russia Amid Ukraine War

Lithuania and five other NATO* members neighbouring Russia agreed to build a "drone wall" to defend their borders from "provocations". The plan to use drones for border protection was agreed because of security concerns in the region amid Russia's war in Ukraine. Lithuania’s Interior Minister announced the plan after talks with her counterparts from Estonia, Latvia, as well as Finland, Norway and Poland. Western leaders and analysts have been wary of the possibility of a direct confrontation with Russia over its war in Ukraine.
