Luffa Plant Growing Time Lapse - Seed To Gourd (114 Days)

Watch a luffa/loofah gourd plant growing from a seed to fruit in this 114 days time lapse. After a week the seed was sowed into soil, luffa seedling appeared quickly with lots of vines climbing and covering all over the trellis. Flowers started blooming from day 40th onward for about a month. Hand-pollination was carried out on some female flowers, the first batch wasn't successful, but the second one met expectation.
As a tropical plant, luffa requires a hot climate, full sun with richly moist soil. It can easily be grown outdoors with the temperature of 70F or above. It can also be planted indoors; however, a large enough container and growing environment are required for thriving and yielding harvests.
