A Timex 2000 Prototype Reproduction: Part 1
August 3, 2024

My friend Carl, who is local to me, visited me today and shared his passion for creating a reproduction of the Timex 2000 prototype computer that was seen in 1983. The Timex 2000, which was to be the U.S. release of the Sinclair Spectrum, was never released. Instead, the company released the Timex 2068, which had additional features. Carl is using two computers called the Czerweny CZ 1500 and CZ 2000 that were released in Argentina in about 1985 to make a computer that will look and function like the Timex 2000 computer that Timex did not release.

This video was created by "BallyAlley" (Adam Trionfo) and Carl Miles.

Special thanks to Kio's Sinclair ZX Computers Archive for the Timex 2000 prototype pictures from the April 1983 issue of "Creative Computing."
