Adolescence star Owen Cooper added a Golden Globe to his impressive trophy cabinet as he was named best supporting actor in a television series at the star-studded ceremony.

The win made Cooper the youngest-ever recipient of the award, aged just 16, surpassing Chris Colfer, who was 20 when he won for Glee in 2010.

It also places Cooper as the second-youngest male Golden Globe winner in history, behind The Champ actor Ricky Schroder, who was just nine when he took home the New Star of the Year award in 1980.
