100 Years Later | Belmont High School

Belmont High School (@belmontseniorhigh) is turning 100 years old and we had the honor of telling their story!

Belmont is rich with tradition and has been a staple of the community since 1923. From athletics to academic programs, it offers a variety of activities for students. There are currently 12 sport teams, 15+ clubs, and 10 AP courses offered. The school is comprised of three unique academies that foster the futures of its students and encourage professional career paths. The schools mascot is Sammy the Sentinel and the school colors are green and black.

In recent years, students from around the world have migrated to West Lake/Echo Park Los Angeles. Through the International Network Academy, it’s newest Academy on campus, students from countries like Guatemala, Russia, and Jordan receive a personalized education.
