After visiting the Griffin Science and Industry museum up in Chicago, we would take a Metra electric train down to Matteson so we could walk to the rail park and railfan on the CN crossover between the IC and EJ&E. At Matteson the CN Chicago sub and Matteson sub cross by and is a busy section for CN traffic. We would see a good amount for only being there for about two hours including an amazing consist on L53691 with GTW 5936 making a rare escape from Kirk yard. Apparently it had radiator leaks and got repaired at Homewood. Enjoy!
