Electron configuration for arsenic. Mr. Causey shows you step by step how to write the electron configuration and the orbital notation for arsenic. Using the periodic table you know that arsenic has 33 electrons, 4 energy levels, and has s, p, and d orbitals. So, place the electrons in the proper orbitals using Hund's Rules, the Aufbau Principle, and Pauli's exclusion principle. Don't forget that energy levels 3 and 4 overlap.
