Slate just dropped the latest update to the Slate VSX Headphones, VSX 4.0. As an owner of VSX its incredibly cool to get this update and here's the main takeaways:

Improved modelling of all the room emulations
System wide VSX use
Mini Mode
Added "Cell Phone" room type

I've been using Slate VSX for about 9 months now and if you're looking for a solution to a poorly treated room OR you just want another set of tools in your arsenal for checking your mixes, then I think you cant go wrong with VSX. The amount of room emulations they have is impressive, you can sanity check your mixes across 10-20 different environments as quick as you need to.
