JAZZ OF YUMA ( JOY ) is excited to be a part of the Yuma Community, entertaining and educating its citizens. This non-profit dance company is excited to announce the 15th Annual Yuma Hip Hop Dance Festival on September 16 & 17th, 2022 at Quechan Casino & Resort PIPA Event Center.

This festival presents opportunities for children and adults to expand their minds, learn new skills, and to dance with and learn from masters about their dance lives, the industry and the opportunities available to those who work hard. Some of these masters have choreographed or danced on America’s Best Dance Crew, Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Step Up Revolution, to include working with performing artists, such as Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Usher, Flo-Rida, Brittany Spears, Nicki Minaj. In addition, the instructors and assistants have worked with national choreographers within the industry, just to name a few: Brian Freedman, Laurie Ann Gibson, Jeri Slaughter, Fatima, Tyce Diorio and Tessandra Chavez.

This year’s festival is a two-day event workshop & Show starting with Friday night, Sept. 16th, at Quechan Casino & Resort PIPA Event Center from 6pm-8pm. These classes are open to the public. Registered students for Saturday, Sept. 17th program, the 15th Annual Yuma Hip Hop Festival will include with 3 Master classes, Lunch, T-shirt, Q & A session and an audition to be in the evening show. Saturday evening the show will be held for the first time at Quechan Casino & Resort PIPA Event Center at 7:00pm. This experience continues to benefit the entire Yuma community in several ways. This event has drawn participants from not only Arizona, but various cities as far as New Jersey to California who utilize the services of our local hotels, restaurants and convenience stores. We hope you will support the annual Yuma Hip Hop Dance Festival and show through your generous contributions.
