Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu Ver.1.5 - TLB Hibachi - No-Miss No-Bomb

Also known as Dodonpachi Resurrection I guess.
This fight is really fun.

Hibachi is the true final boss of the game that you only fight at the end of the Ura loop. Like most true last bosses, he's invincible when you are.

There is quite a lot going on here but the most important aspect of this fight is hyper management. You need to pointblank very aggressively in order to get enough charge for the necessary hypers.

With the hyper shot you can generate slowdown. This is particularly helpful for the first and last pattern. Type A has the best shot for doing damage but is also the fastest, which makes unfocused dodging a bit tricky.

The second pattern has three phases and how the next wave unfolds is quite random. Ideally you want to stall getting a full hyper until the first wave is about to end, since filling the hyper meter gives you a second of slowdown. I got a bit lucky here. Activate the next hyper when the third wave is about to start.

In order to generate enough hyper meter for the final hyper, you need to activate the previous hyper when the first phase of the boss healthbar has only a sliver of health left. After that, pointblank as much as possible to generate meter, while making sure you don't get pointblanked yourself. The best time to pointblank the boss is during the lull between the part where lasers come from one side and lasers coming from both sides.

The blue bullets in the final pattern are suicide bullets from lasering the purple lasers. For this reason you want to limit using your laser, at least at first, since you can't keep that up normally. For this final pattern you want to use shot in hyper as much as possible, while occasionally using laser to keep the purple lasers at bay. The slowdown will end abruptly when you laser though, so you gotta be careful of that. Another thing to note during the hyper activation here is that I use the opportunity to cancel all of the lingering blue bullets.
