I used the music box instrument in Soundtrap to try mimicking the sound of a real clock. More specifically, the one in my kitchen, and the grandfather clock in another room. The "lighter" and "deeper" notes represent both clocks. I'm so used to hearing them that I don't even acknowledge the ticking until that's the only thing I can focus on. That clock is also featured in my cover art for this song in the left corner. Shout out to my kitchen clock. Love you.
