A very long time ago, I attempted to con my nana into letting me watch T2 when my parents wouldn't let me.
Her response was: 'Well you can't watch T2, because you obviously haven't seen the first one yet, it will go right over your head.' So she dug out a taped off TV totally butchered version of the first film for me to watch in preparation for the sequel (which was to be shown on TV that night in what was to be an equally butchered fashion).
Even though I was easily 13 years late to the party, when those credits rolled up at the start after that unimaginably incredible (to this day) opening I was totally enthralled. That pumping anarchistic yet melodious music has not left my mind to this day. And I'm not alone either.
As an annoying percussive asshole who taps on things incessantly, the main driving beat of Brad Fiedels main theme to The Terminator never goes away.
I've tried countless times over the years to create a cover version of this theme, but the time signature is so out of whack that it usually just drives me nuts and I move on.
This time however, I stuck with it, and have created what I feel to be a semi decent tribute to the theme and to the composer.
