Exploring the amazing structures of the Peak District

Hello, and once again, thank you for clicking the play button!
In todays video, we travel to the stunning Monsal Dale in the beautiful peak district to explore Headstone Tunnel, Headstone Viaduct and some amazing mills of a by gone era!
Monsal Dale is an area of astonishing natural beauty, and we made the decision get there for 5.20am, and what a great decision it was, as there was nobody there at that time! We had it all to ourselves!
The Derby and Manchester line that ran through Monsal Dale, which was a branch of the midland railway, has to be one of the most scenic railways in Britain.
We first had a look at the eastern approach to the Headstone Tunnel, which is amazing in itself, due to the huge amount of limestone removed, before they even built the tunnel!
Then we had a Noseh at the Headstone Viaduct, then we went to look at some amazing former Mills, which were my highlight of the exploration. Actually, the first of the mills we looked at today, we actually stumbled upon by accident, and was buried beneath stinging nettles, that we actually knocked about to be able to see this amazing structure!
