Описание к видео Sega WaveRunner GP Expert Course, 1st, Hard difficulty, 3'16"195 (IGT) (BKT)

Played using Thrustmaster ESWAP Pro X, IGT = In-Game Time, BKT = Best Known Time, IL = Individual Level, best time I could find: 3'32"029 by SANCHIES H2K,    • Видео

If the advanced course was that hard, then what kind of nightmare could the expert course be? Well, the time limit is actually not much harder, if at all. For relatively skilled players like me it's now actually easier to finish than the advanced course on hard mode. It sure has a higher skill ceiling though, I'll give some tips for this course. If you want general game tips, you can read the description of my novice course video (    • Sega WaveRunner GP Novice, 1st, Hard ...   ). If you want expert course tips, then you have come to the right place.

Before the first turn, you can get what I call a bump boost, or a BB. It involves bumping an AI with the rear half of your jet ski. It's kinda hard, hitting with the front half loses some speed, and it's not required to finish the race, even on hard.

But you can also get BBs by getting in front of an AI and making them hit you in the back after they rubber band, which is way less risky. You can use the engine audio to hear if they are closer to the left or right, but that's best heard with headphones, and if you somehow get the chance to play this game in an actual arcade, then good luck using the audio strat.

The first turn can actually be taken at full throttle lap 1 and 2, and with a really tight line if you get it good. I found that taking the best line involves turning less at about the midpoint of the corner so you don't hit the inside wall.

The most tricky corner is the helicopter hairpin after the 1st big jump. It's best to slow down kinda early to about 40-50 MPH and being very far to the right before starting the corner.

Also, I could have easily stopped at a 3"20, but I wasn't satisfied, so I spent some extra time to get a 3"16.

Edit: realized that the game settings did not get recorded. Again, not the biggest deal because the amount of time you get to clear the course can be used to determine the difficulty, but sorry nonetheless.
