Описание к видео Learning Counts: Spotlight on basic education completion and foundational learning in Africa

The 2024 Spotlight continental report responds to the AU’s priority on effective strategies for foundational numeracy skills. It is the second in the Spotlight #BorntoLearn Series, the first of which was launched in October 2022 along with four country reports covering the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Mozambique, Rwanda and Senegal.

The 2024 Spotlight edition will examine how countries align their national vision with curriculum development, textbook provision, teacher support, and assessment practices to advance foundational numeracy.

The Spotlight series is a partnership between the Global Education Monitoring Report, the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA), hosted by the African Development Bank and the African Union.

The Spotlight Reports aim to present good practices so as to improve foundational learning and offers recommendations on key actions to support policy dialogue through established African Union peer learning mechanisms.
