Aeolian landforms are features produced by either erosive or constructive action of the wind. the feature may be built up from sand or snow. Wind may erode, transport and deposit the material.
Aeolian landforms are commonly observed in sandy deserts and on frozen lakes or sea ice. This landform has been observed and studied across Earth and other planets, including Mars and Pluto.

Erosion by Wind

Wind can Erode the material by 3 mechanisms-

Abrasion or Corrosion- Wearing down of surfaces by the grinding action.
Deflation-Lifting and removal of the loose fine material.
Attrition- It is a Grinding action, when transit wind-borne materials collide with one another, it brings further grinding of the material.

Transportation by Wind

Saltation-Transported through a series of Bounce.
Suspension-Lifting of the Particle in the Atmosphere and then carried into a great distance before they settle.
Rolling or Traction-The movement of particles on the Ground.

Deposition by wind

Reduction in Velocity
Obstruction to wind
Increased Load

Type of Landforms

Erosion and Deposition is the Dominant geomorphic process to form wind-borne landform.
Erosional- Erosional landforms grow when more sediment is removed from an area faster than it is deposited. There are several types of landforms associated with erosion.
Deflation Basin

Mushroom rocks
Yardangs
Lag Deposit

Depositional-Depositional landforms grow when sediment is deposited into an area faster than it is removed. These landforms grow from snow, sand, and/or dust in areas where wind patterns trap particles. For example, the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado. Some depositional landforms are-
