Hello friends,
Welcome back to my channel. Here I have shared with you all in this vlog how I reached Kodachadri from Kollur Mookambika temple , Jeep ride to Kodachadri, Trekking in Kodachadri done.

Highlights of My Kodachadri trip
📍Jeep safari to Kodachadri
📍Mookambika Moolakshetra visit
📍Iron pillar (Trishoola)
📍Trekking to Kodachadri
📍Sarvajna Peetha at the peak of Kodachadri

Kodachadri is a Natural Heritage Site , which is a Part of the Western Ghats and forms a lovely backdrop to the famous Kollur Mookambika temple. The place is famous for its glorious sunrise and sunset, this hill range is part of Mookambika Wildlife sanctuary. Devotees who visit Kollur Mookambika temple visit Kodachadri also .
From Kollur Mookambika temple, till the base of Kodachadri can be reached by Jeep ride. At the base of Kodachadri, there is Mookambika Moola Kshetra where before 1200 years ago Vedic guru Adishankaracharya made Mookambika devi temple as per the legend.
The peak of Kodachadri is 1343 m above the sealevel and can be reached by 1 hour trekking from the base camp . The name Kodachadri is derived from Sanskrit word called Kutaja flowers & Adri means hill.

One iron pillar of about 40 feet length is planted erect in front of Moola Mookambika Temple at base of Kodachadri. Devotees believe that this is the trishula used by goddess Mookambika to slay a demon called Mookasura as per local tradition. It is found made of pure iron. This iron pillar is considered as testimony of ancient Indian iron craftmanship.

Sarvajna Peeth is a small temple like structure at the peak where Adi Shankara meditated. From the base of Kudachadri temple , it is a 2 km trek to the peak. Just below the peak, an almost vertical path leads to a small cave called Chitramoola, from where the Mookambika temple of Kollur, is visible. The path to Chitramoola has been closed by forest officials citing various reasons. As of now a pilgrim can go only upto Sarvajnapita. Ganesha Guha & Chithramoola cave are near the trekking path to Sarvajna peetha which is closed now .

It was really a mind refreshing trip that i had to Kodachadri. I hope you liked the video and Please do Subscribe for more videos.
